SESSION LXXVII

ABOUT THIS SESSION

SESSION 77 of the trial of Adolf Eichmann took place in the morning of Thursday, June 22, 1961. In this session, Defense Counsel Dr. Robert Servatius continues his direct examination of Eichmann, which began in SESSION 75. Servatius presents Eichmann with a series of documents indicating his ability to give orders and make decisions, while Eichmann argues that he generally deferred all decision-making to his superiors.

Although much of the footage from SESSION 77 has been lost, the approximately seventy minutes of surviving material is presented here. Some sections survive only via contemporaneous news broadcasts, and contain minor edits by the broadcaster. Some audio in this session, particularly in the first twenty minutes, is degraded and can be difficult to hear at times. Dialogue in these sections can still be followed using the subtitles.
