SESSION LXIV
ABOUT THIS SESSION
SESSION 64 of the trial of Adolf Eichmann took place in the morning of Monday, June 5, 1961. After weeks of testimony and evidence regarding Nazi activities in various countries, the focus shifts today to specific concentration camps, beginning with Majdanek. The session begins with the testimony of Joseph Reznik. He discusses his time in Majdanek, where he witnessed a mass-execution and worked grinding the bones of Jewish victims. Ya’akov Friedman testifies next, recalling his experience in Majdanek and a visit by Eichmann to the camp. Documents pertaining to Majdanek are submitted, after which the prosecution shifts its focus to the Sobibor extermination camp. Dov Freiberg testifies about his experience at Sobibor, recounting Nazi torture techniques and his memory of one SS officer whose conscience would not allow him to participate in the extermination.
The majority of SESSION 64 has been lost. The surviving hour of footage, including portions of each witness’s testimony, is presented here.
