SESSION XLVII
ABOUT THIS SESSION
SESSION 47 of the trial of Adolf Eichmann took place in the afternoon of Monday, May 22, 1961 (there was no morning session on the 22nd). The prosecution begins the session by completing its submission of documents on Nazi actions in Yugoslavia, a process that began in SESSION 46. Documents on Bulgaria and Greece are then submitted. After a recess, witness Itzchak Nechama testifies on the Nazi invasion of Salonika and the 1942 Eleftherias Square roundup, also known as ‘Black Sabbath’. Additional documents on Greece are submitted, including by the sworn declarations of Nazi officer Dieter Wisliceny and German soldier Erwin Lenz.
The majority of SESSION 47 has been lost, including the entire first half of the session preceding the recess. The roughly one hour of surviving footage is presented here.
