SESSION XLIV
ABOUT THIS SESSION
SESSION 44 of the trial of Adolf Eichmann took place in the morning of Thursday, May 18, 1961. It begins with Assistant Prosecutor Jonathan Bar-Or submitting into evidence documentation of Nazi activity in Germany during the war, followed by the submission of documents on Austria, Bohemia & Moravia, and the Theresienstadt concentration camp. Documents regarding specific individuals—Dr. Siegfried Seidl, Dr. John Adler and Dr. Gerhart Riegner—are then submitted. Finally, Ernst Recht testifies, saying that he just got out of the hospital hours before. He is questioned on life in Prague during the Nazi occupation, discussing the Nazi system for confiscation, refurbishment and resale of deported Jews’ property.
