SESSION II

ABOUT THIS SESSION

SESSION 2 of the trial of Adolf Eichmann took place in the afternoon of April 11, 1961. In this session, Prosecuting Attorney General Gideon Hausner continues his response to the initial objections of Defense Counsel Robert Servatius, which he began in SESSION 1. His response continues in SESSION 3.

Unfortunately, nearly all footage from SESSION 2 has been lost. The 6-7 surviving minutes of footage—the least of any single session of the Eichmann trial—is presented here.  Some of the footage missing from the trial tapes has been located in the archives of Getty Images. That material is included here with a Getty Images watermark.

NOTABLE MOMENTS

00:00 - Session 2 begins

00:58 - Laughter in the courtroom as Hausner is corrected on his pronunciation of ‘Idaho’
