ABOUT THIS SESSION
SESSION 13 of the trial of Adolf Eichmann took place in the afternoon of Monday, April 24, 1961. In this session, Professor Salo Baron of Columbia University concludes his testimony, which began in SESSION 12. He establishes the number of Jews in Europe prior to the Holocaust and the number remaining after, placing the approximate death toll around six million. Following Baron’s testimony, Attorney General Gideon Hausner submits a number of documents to the court, including an autobiography written by Eichmann while in captivity, from which he reads excerpts.
Only about half an hour of footage from SESSION 13 has survived.
