SESSION I
ABOUT THIS SESSION
SESSION 1 of the trial of Adolf Eichmann took place on the morning of April 11, 1961. In this session, Eichmann makes his first entrance into the courtroom and the trial begins with the reading of the 15-count indictment. Defense Counsel Robert Servatius enters an objection on the grounds that Jewish judges cannot objectively judge a man accused of the mass-murder of Jews. Prosecuting Attorney General Gideon Hausner begins his reply, which will continue after a recess in SESSION 2.
Unlike most sessions of the trial, SESSION 1 is preserved in its entirety with no gaps in the recording.
